Use this wax seal to add a special finishing touch to fancy documents, wedding invitations, letters, or other important correspondence. This is a seal for making impressions on sealing wax of a Chalice, a symbol of faith for Unitarian Universalists. This particular Chalice is the one adopted by the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Huntington (UUFH). UU a very open and accepting faith, encouraging each person to find their own spiritual path. There is no dogma - atheists and humanists sit side by side with monotheists and polytheists.

A wax seal adds old fashioned class to envelopes and documents. Before self-adhesive envelopes, everyone used a seal of some kind to keep messages private. In our present day of emails and instant messaging, taking the time to write a letter makes a message stand out as important, worth taking the time to think carefully and spend money on paper, ink, wax, postage, etc. A wax seal makes sure that your letter is noticed among the junk mail.

The top of the handle is marked to make it much easier to align the impression and avoid setting it upside down or crooked, and the handle is oval so you can tell that it's straight by feel. The impression will be about 3/4" diameter.

Please note that this seal is NOT compatible with J. Herbin traditional sealing wax (the non-mailable variety); that particular wax sticks to these seals more strongly than to the paper which causes a real mess. Obviously I strongly recommend my International Sealing Wax - that has always released cleanly and survives the postal system almost every time, even to the far side of the world!
